From Dream to Reality: Nahwera Brendah’s Journey to Professional Plumbing

Meet Nahwera Brendah, a 21-year-old with a clear vision of becoming a professional plumber.

Rewind to last year when Brendah had just finished secondary school in Uganda. Like
many young Ugandans, she was praying for the funds necessary to pursue university or
trade school. Around that time, ONE30 Network launched the Uganda Trade School
Kakoma, and Brendah was among the first group of students selected. Although she
appreciated the chance for career training, her heart wasn’t set on becoming a tailor, so
she prayed for guidance toward the career she truly desired.

At the same time, in Cullman, Alabama, journeyman plumber Zach Shaw was eager to
give back in gratitude for the support he received early in his career. He began making
monthly contributions to ONE30 Network, trusting that his donations would be used as
God saw fit. Remarkably, the amount he donated each month exactly matched the fees
required for Brendah’s plumbing school.

Today, Brendah is flourishing as a plumbing apprentice in Uganda, and Zach has
advanced to become a Master Plumber in the US while also enjoying married life.
Through the ONE30 correspondence program, Brendah and the Shaws stay connected,
exchanging encouraging messages. One of the most rewarding aspects of ONE30
Network is providing a trusted organization that helps individuals and families achieve

their personal and professional dreams.
