A Canvas of Hope: Children Discover the Joy of Art

Laughter, curiosity, and quiet concentration filled the classrooms at Light Academy in Itara and Victorious Primary School and Orphanage in Ibanda as students experienced something brand new – the joy of painting.

For many of these children, it was their very first time holding a paintbrush or dipping into vibrant colors. With wide eyes and eager hands, they explored the world of art using tempera paint, watercolor, colored pencils, and crayons. Each child was given paper and creative freedom, encouraged to paint whatever was on their heart and mind.

What followed was nothing short of remarkable.

From bright landscapes and joyful portraits to imaginative designs and heartfelt expressions, the children produced beautiful masterpieces – each one reflecting their personality, dreams, and growing confidence. These were more than pictures on paper; they were stories of resilience, creativity, and hope.

We are excited to share that these original works will be featured on the tables at Gallery of Hope, ONE30 Network’s first-ever art auction. Each piece represents not only artistic talent but also the opportunity to invest in a child’s future through education, care, and community support.

In addition to these featured pieces, a variety of original artworks created during the children’s art camp, led by a local professional artist, will also be showcased in the exhibit. These vibrant and meaningful pieces, as well as other items, will be available for auction, with proceeds helping to sustain the ongoing work of ONE30 Network and ensuring continued care, education, and support for children throughout the year.

If you would like to be part of this inspiring evening of dinner, live music, powerful storytelling, and the opportunity to purchase these one-of-a-kind artworks, we invite you to join us.

Together, we are helping children discover their voices—one brushstroke at a time.
